Workplace Violence

Workplace violence can range from verbal abuse to physical assaults and homicide. It can strike anywhere and, according to OSHA, approximately 2 million American workers are victims each year. However, people in certain jobs are more vulnerable to workplace violence, including health care and social service workers; gas and utility employees; retail employees; and taxi drivers.
